Children and adults with disabilities and special needs find highest-quality services designed to meet their individual needs when they come to Easter Seals. Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers help each person overcome obstacles to independence and reach his or her personal goals. Easter Seals FARM Program helps farmers continue to farm after a disabling illness or injury and helps non-farmers with disabilities learn the skills necessary to successfully enter the agricultural workforce.
Camp Wawbeek is about all the things children and adults can do -- play basketball, canoe, sing, eat s'mores and more. Easter Seals Wisconsin's camping programs provide a safe, barrier-free environment for children and adults with disabilities to experience all aspects of camp without the usual limitations.
Caring for a loved one with disabilities can be a very rewarding experience, but there is no denying it can also be an incredibly exhausting task. Easter Seals Respite programs give parents and caregivers time away from the stresses of caring for a child or adult with disabilities, allowing them the opportunity to have time to themselves, spend time with their other children or family members, run errands, and take care of all those other activities that go into having a well-balanced life.
Serving south-central Wisconsin, Camp Kee-B-Waw is located on 400 beautifully-wooded acres at Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells. Our caring counselors are devoted to having wholesome fun in the outdoors. Camp Kee-B-Waw is a day camp for children without disabilities, ages 6- 13. They will share camp space with people who have physical disabilities – an opportunity to learn about differences and make new friends.
Easter Seals Wisconsin and Respite Care Association of Wisconsin is creating a statewide “Caring Network” of highly trained respite care providers who will have the required skills to provide in-home respite care for individuals with a variety of disabilities, including highly challenging behaviors, and basic medical and personal care needs.
When not in use, Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek and Respite Camp facilities are available for rental groups. Hold your next group meeting or activity in this beautiful setting.
Easter Seals Self-Employment Services program works with individuals who have a disability and want to establish their own business. Clients receive one-on-one assistance to evaluate ideas from both a business standpoint and one of issues presented by disabilities. At this time, the program is available in the greater Green Bay area.
Avenues to Understanding is a disability-awareness educational program for children and young adults. Avenues to Understanding is available at no charge to public and private schools, early childhood programs and faith and community-based organizations throughout Wisconsin.
Whether it's clothing, household goods or a used vehicle, Easter Seals can put it to good use. While recycling your unwanted materials, you are also helping children and adults with disabilities.
Easter Seals Wisconsin is committed to building community awareness and support for individuals with disabilities and the friends and family members who care about them. This assistance includes a resource database of programs for people with disabilities, educational materials and printed literature, a car seat loan program for children needing special restraints, and support groups.
