Providing Services for People with Disabilities and Their Families
Children and adults with disabilities and special needs find highest-quality services designed to meet their individual needs when they come to Easter Seals. Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers help each person overcome obstacles to independence and reach his or her personal goals. Our Map of Services shows at a glance the programs we have provided county by county.
FARM Program
Employment provides the opportunity to participate as a member of a community. Easter Seals agricultural services help people with disabilities learn skills to successfully enter the agricultural workforce, or to return to the farm after an illness or injury.
Camp Wawbeek
Camp Wawbeek is about all the things children and adults can do -- play basketball, canoe, sing, eat s'mores and more. Easter Seals Wisconsin's camping programs provide a safe, barrier-free environment for children and adults with disabilities to experience all aspects of camp without usual limitations.
Respite Camp
Caring for a loved one with disabilities can be a very rewarding experience, but there is no denying it can also be an incredibly exhausting task. Easter Seals Respite programs give parents and caregivers time away from the stresses of caring for a child with disabilities, allowing them the opportunity to have time to themselves, spend time with their other children or family members, run errands, and take care of all those other activities that go into having a well-balanced life.
Camp Group Rentals
When not in use, Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek and Respite Camp facilities are available for rental groups. Hold your next group meeting or activity in this beautiful setting.
Self-Employment Services
Easter Seals Self-Employment program works with individuals who have a disability and want to establish their own business. Clients receive one-on-one assistance to evaluate ideas from both a business standpoint and from the standpoint of issues presented by disabilities. At this time, the program is available in the greater Green Bay area.
Avenues to Understanding
Avenues to Understanding is a disability awareness educational program for children and young adults. Avenues to Understanding is available to public and private schools, early childhood programs and faith and community based organizations throughout Wisconsin.
Donation Center/Pick-Up Service
Whether it's clothing, household goods or a used vehicle, Easter Seals can put it to good use. While recycling your unwanted materials, you are also help children and adults with disabilities.
Community Services
Easter Seals Wisconsin is committed to building community awareness and support for individuals with disabilities and the friends and family members who care about them. This assistance includes a resource data base of programs for the disabled, educational materials and printed literature, car seat loan program for children needing special needs restraints and support groups.
